Description
Work items route through many users and many activities.
During a work item's life information is collected about task start, complete, suspense
and how often activities occur.
In addition, there's a host of Application metrics.
Report:

- Work Items Status – allows users and work item owners to get a quick view of activities and
tasks up to the current state of the active work item.
- Work Item Metrics – allows work item owners, managers, and other individuals that are in the
reporting role to query across work items based on many attributes to evaluate processing
characteristics. Also, case view may be accessed by selecting any record.
- Work Item History – allows work item owners, managers, and other individuals that are in the
reporting role to query across completed work items based on many attributes to evaluate processing characteristics.
- Case View – allows work item owners and other users to view all aspects of a work item, such as,
user access acknowledgments, responses, attachments, and status history.

Work Item Status
Work items route through many users and many activities. During a
work item’s life information is collected about task start, complete,
suspense and how often work items or work item activities occur.
Work item status displays on demand from the work item manager or from the user inbox. When the
status is selected, a user may trace all history of the selected item up to the current status.

Work Item Metrics
Anyone in the role of “Report Viewer” has access to the “Reports” tab and there are many
searchable attributes allowing the retrieval of in process work items.
Users enter search criteria to return a wide spectrum of work item information.

Work Item History
Anyone in the role of “Report Viewer” has access to the “Reports” tab, and there are many
searchable attributes allowing the retrieval of historical work items. Although work item history overlaps
work item metrics, this is the only mechanism for retrieving completed work item information.
Users enter search criteria to return a wide spectrum of work item information.

Case View
Case view is not only used for reporting it's also used for managing items.
Case view may be accessed by selecting a work item from the work item manager or non historical work items from the “Reports” tab.
This mechanism allows many views – work item, activities, history, work item route, content, participant acknowledgements and attached document.
