Automation
ActiveWIT allows customization of change control processes to satisfy your needs.
With the ability to define activities and rules while identifying participants per instance, flexible configuration enables automation of many change control processes.
From simple approval processes to complex sign off requiring completion of documentation, ActiveWIT satisfies those needs.
With built in case management all procedures may be reviewed for responses, history and attachments during processing or
completed.

Process
When a work item is activated, it follows the route and participation rules of the workflow while tracking user activities. As users complete activities, the workflow automatically moves the work item through the route. As suspense, completion and activation occurs, notifications are sent to the work item's owner. Additionally, notification rules may be set on workflows to automatically notify stakeholders when activities or workflows have violated defined conditions. Many more features are available, please review the documentation on this site for more information.

Candidates
Many standard operating procedures may be automated and any number of them may be
defined within an account. The following account manifest contains a generic workflow for Software Change Control and may contain any number of workflow processes to
satisfy your change control needs.

Inbox
Task
When a user selects an inbox item, they are presented with an inbox task. One to
many users may work the same task. When more than one user is required
to work a task, all required users must complete the task before the system
automatically advances to the next activity. When an item is placed in suspense,
information is placed in the tracking system and emails the person that activated
the work item with the status change.
|
Activities
Any number of activities are supported per workflow.
|
Routing
The route is then defined as a process map for the workflow.
|
Rules
Rules may be configured to notify when out of tolerance conditions occur by workflow or activity.
|
Work Items and Inbox
Once a workflow is defined, the instruction set is followed each time a work item is activated.
The work item then distributes task(s) to the defined participants for that work item.
Tasks appear in the user inbox and the operating procedure is automatically controlled in the background.
